The update #1 - 22/03/26

Hello hello! How are we all doing? I hope you’re having a good weekend as usual. I was struggling to decide on what to make this post about, but I thought putting out a little update about what’s going on with my life, the S3 and the blog of course! Now I’m writing this post at 37,000 feet in the air, and that’s not just some funny comment, as you’re reading this I will most likely be in Germany, so therefore I decided to write this post whilst on the plane! Committed I know.

Right, let’s get into it then. I’ll start with the boring first, my life. So coming up I’ve got some important dates that I can’t miss and I’m gonna do my best to make sure that content isn’t impacted too much. With that said, I’m going to do my best to make sure I prep some posts in anticipation of not being available as much. Other than that though I’m hoping to get out and about a bit more now that the S3 is almost back to full health.

Yes that’s right, last post you might remember me saying that the S3 was pretty much ready for some exciting things. Well I think it heard that and decided it wanted to spit its dummy out and begin to misfire. So after a little bit of digging and data logging I decided to get the injectors cleaned, the inlet valves to be walnut blasted and whilst at it, for the thermostat to be changed. Now things didn’t go quite so smoothly as one of the injectors had failed mechanically so this had to be swapped for a freshly reconditioned one and the other three had a fancy bath to get them working like new. Following that ordeal and a hefty bill to go with it you’d think that would be it. However, yes that’s right, there was something else. Whilst in at the garage they noticed a split in one of the boost pipes. Since they had to remove this particular pipe it’s seemed to make the boost leak worse than before so now that needs replacing. The never ending list of jobs. Hey ho, life goes on, but once the boost pipe is done along with a service everything should be back on track. After a little bit of recovery saving of course.

So what about Up To Fun and the blog. Well, obviously more content, but what else? Well, I’m thinking of making a bigger push for content on TikTok. Primarily that means video content but it’s not limited to that so will see what ideas begin to flow with that when the time comes. Next is creating something physical for the blog, now I’m not talking about the S3, I’m thinking more along the merchandise route. Nothing massive but even just a small transfer sticker that you can rep on your car. I’ve already made a start on this with designs and stuff and hopefully I will have a bit more of an update on this in the near future, but for now you’ll just have to wait.

I’d love to sit here and go on and on about a load of new things coming however, just for these next few months it is going to be the usually weekly posts to keep you all in the loop. For all the other new stuff I will be sure to let you all know when it starts to progress and turn from idea to reality.
